  • Trekking Mount Kilimanjaro – A High Altitude Travel Experience

Trekking Mount Kilimanjaro – A High Altitude Travel Experience

Trekking Mount Kilimanjaro is one of the most popular adventure sports in Africa. It takes around three days to reach the summit of this mountain. This mountain is located in the Eastern Kilimanjaro National Park and is accessible by a narrow trail. Trekking Mount Kilimanjaro is best experienced during the spring season, between March and May, or at any other time when the weather is suitable.

Before you embark on the trek up mount kilimanjaro, it is important that you get proper instructions. The most important route to take is the eastern approach which starts from the town of Mombasa and takes you through Ngorongoro Crater, Kilimanjaro National Park, and finally ends at the Serengeti following a long detour to the Zimani Gate. There are also other minor routes that you can follow, but they tend to be less convenient and therefore less enjoyable. It is important to choose a safe route as this will ensure that you reach the summit in the least amount of time and in the best condition.

Trekking Mount Kilimanjaro is made easier for climbers by the presence of a number of support structures such as gorges, cliffs, and sleeping bags, at the foot of the mountain. Some of these trekking mount kilimanjaro tours are specially designed for those who are new to this sport. In such cases, there are experts who can advise how to acclimatize to the sudden change of altitude. They also provide equipment such as sleeping bags and comfortable clothing.

One of the most popular destinations for trekking Mount Kilimanjaro is in Tanzania, where this magnificent mountain reaches its peak during the dry season. Since most of the travelers trek to this summit, there are many camps around the base where travelers can remain for the night and then resume their journey the following day. If you want to have an easy and comfortable journey to the summit, it is advisable to travel with a Tanzania based Tanzania travel professional.

Trekking Mount Kilimanjaro is not an easy task and takes weeks or months to complete. Even experienced mountaineers find it hard to summit night because of the sudden changes of the elevations. Even with the assistance of a Tanzania high altitude travel professional, it is not impossible to reach the summit, but at the same time very hard. For those who have high altitude experience, they can tackle this task easily and safely. But for the first time mountaineers or trekkers, it is advisable to take help from a high altitude travel agent or guide.

The most appropriate way to approach this journey is called the Machame Route. This route starts from Serengeti in northern Tanzania and passes through central Tanzania. In this route, the climbers have to tackle the Ngorongoro Conservation region. The route goes through Tsavo, Idzang, Manyara, Selous and finally reaches the town of Maun among the most popular tourist spots in Tanzania. From there, the climbers have to take the long way to the summit. It takes them more than eight days to reach the summit.

  • 5 Alternative Ways to Cruise Europe

5 Alternative Ways to Cruise Europe

For those who enjoy intriguing stories and adventurous experiences, Europe is a dream come true. Every nook has a fascinating tale to tell, and every structure has a heritage that has been passed down to us over thousands of years.

Each year, millions of visitors are drawn to Europe because of its vibrant tradition, magnificent architecture, and world-renowned culinary. With so much to see and do, there’s no better way to discover Europe than by cruise.

Instead of dealing with possible inconveniences when travelling between ports and cities, cruisers can unwind and enjoy the amenities onboard. The convenience of visiting several places without having to unload and repack each time is what stands out for most cruise aficionados.

To spice things up, we’ve compiled a list of 5 different methods to cruise Europe.

    • Geothermal Expedition Cruise, Iceland

If you enjoy soaking in a hot spring surrounded by a beautiful environment, then Iceland is the place for you. This country offers endless options for natural hot springs and other geothermal activities.

Furthermore, if you’re interested in milky turquoise volcanic waters, the natural baths around Lake Myvatn are must-visits.  The unique experience is enhanced by the surrounding lava fields, craters, volcanic activities, and other geological structures.

The recently launched Vok Baths is another great alternative. Located on the shores of Lake Urridavatn, it provides you with floating geothermal baths experience with stunning views of the lake.

The baths are an excellent way to finish any of the Eastfjords trips. Choose one and pair it with a visit to the Fljotsdalur Canyon or the Studlagil Creek.

Hellulaug is an excellent ending to any Patreksfjordur and Isafjordur trip if you can live with the little inconvenience of no dressing rooms. Hellulaug is encircled by cliffs on the sea’s edge and provides stunning views of the Vatnsfjordur fjord.

    • Narrowboating in Oxford Canal, England

More people are paying attention to England’s canals and the tiny boats that travel through them. The Oxford Canal flows through stunning terrain carved by the natural environment in Oxfordshire. It is a charming sanctuary of the countryside, clear of large-scale development. This is an excellent location for narrowboat cruising.

The Oxford Canal is 75 miles long and has 46 locks to cruise your Oxford narrowboat hire around. There is also Oxford Canal Walk, which is a long-distance path that you may explore in addition to miles of waterways to sail through. This stroll is ideal for observing a diverse range of wildlife.

Halt in the city centre for some history, art, and tradition as you go through the canals. If you wish to take a longer route, you may depart from Rugby Base and proceed northeast on the Kennet & Avon waterway, cruising towards Reading.

    • Kayaking in Soca Valley, Slovenia

Kayaking is another great way to take in the beauty that Europe has to offer. During the kayaking seasons, the Soca valley offers endless opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the water activity. There are numerous levels to choose from for both beginners and advanced kayakers.

The Soca valley is best suited for anyone that wants to understand the basics of whitewater kayaking. Here, you will learn how to punch the waves and practice for proactive and dynamic paddling. Therefore, if you want to make the most out of the European kayaking season, this place is worth considering.

    • Cruising in Charente River, France

With its beautiful scenery of hills, vineyards, ponds, meadows, and woodlands, the Charente River and its various affluents provide a diverse range of activities and attractions. There are lots to see and do in this region thanks to the lovely communities, castles, and Romanesque buildings around.

Charente is well recognized for providing the opportunity to experience calm and unspoiled nature. Exploring the route of the Charente River itself is another popular choice among the beautiful attractions of Charente. It provides chances for boat expeditions as well as peaceful enjoyment of the outdoors.

This region has a number of cruise routes available. The river is significantly smaller and calmer upstream of Angouleme, breaking into tiny swirling rivulets and sections of wetlands and freshwater ponds. The passage from Angouleme to the sea, on the other hand, can be navigated by large ships.

    • Yacht Island Hopping, Croatia

With over 1200 islands lining the Adriatic Sea, Croatia’s Dalmatian coast is a dream vacation. There are secluded coves, tiny fishing settlements, and medieval-style castles. All of these factors combine to make Croatia one of Europe’s most popular summer vacation spots.

There is an island-hopping route and transportation mode for everyone, regardless of your budget, travel preferences, or time limitations. Depending on your preferences, you can c choose to use local ferries or rent a private yacht, check out Cruise Croatia if this is something you want to find out more about.

Croatia’s ferry system is relatively simple to use and reasonably priced. The ferries are typically quite pleasant, with free internet access, a lounge, and, on bigger services, sometimes a restaurant. This mode of transportation is especially useful if you have rented a car in Croatia and intend to explore the major islands.

Ferry services usually double and often quadruple during the high season to meet the increased demand. As a result, it is best to check timetables and routes on company websites ahead of time.

You may rent or lease your own boat if you want more freedom over your Croatian island hopping. There are several alternatives available, ranging from little to big yachts. Most rates are provided only for the vessel, and you must account for food, port taxes, and crew tips.

    Final Thoughts

A cruise is one of the finest ways to observe and explore Europe. Summer is the busiest season for sailing in Europe. However, if your schedule is adaptable, you may choose to go in the fall and spring when there are fewer tourists. Watch the news in your destination cities, though, and be prepared for cold or wet days.

Also, carry local cash for the places you’ll be visiting in case you want to buy souvenirs or necessities in ports. More importantly, make sure you have all necessary medications as well as non-prescription drugs on hand for the entire trip.

  • From India to Bali – A Holiday Review

From India to Bali – A Holiday Review

If you are considering going on an India or Bali vacation, you will want to consider using an India or Bali travel agent to help you plan your trip. Although it is possible to plan an Indian tour on your own, using a professional can make things go much smoother. With a travel agency you will have access to all sorts of information including hotels, local transportation, sightseeing tours to other parts of the country. You will also be able to make your reservations much easier, which can often save you money.

Planning your India or Bali vacation can be difficult if you do not have an experienced person to help you with your planning. There are many different options available when planning a holiday, and including yoga retreats in your agenda can help you find the perfect vacation for you and your family. There are many different types of yoga retreats to choose from, including ashrams, ashram yoga retreats, and more.

Ashram yoga retreats are very popular and it is possible to find one that will suit your needs perfectly. A yoga retreat can allow you to visit India and Bali without worrying about making a return trip to your own life. You will not need to worry about your visa status or being accommodated in a traditional hotel because you will be living at an ashram. This type of yoga retreat is a bit more expensive than some of the other options but it can be well worth the price. When you visit an ashram yoga retreat you will be living like royalty for the duration of the retreat and you will also have access to some of the most beautiful views in the world.

The other type of yoga retreats that you may wish to consider are the ashram yoga retreats. These are typically smaller in size and the accommodations are better than the ashrams. Most yoga retreats consist of around thirteen to thirty guests, although you can find larger ones available as well. You will not be expected to provide all of the food yourself because your guide will be there to make sure that you have everything you need. You will be taught many different yoga styles and techniques that you will certainly enjoy.

If you are planning on taking a yoga holiday then you will want to consider how long you would like to go. You can typically get away between six to eight weeks but it really all depends on the amount of time you want to spend practicing yoga. The longer you plan on going the more you will end up paying so make sure you take this into consideration. Your price will also be determined by the country that you are visiting.

A little bit of planning up before you go is always helpful and it will make your holiday much more enjoyable. You should plan out which part of Bali you want to visit and plan out your itinerary. Bali has such amazing scenery that you will want to spend as much time in Bali as possible and that includes spending a little bit of money in Bali while you are there. Plan your Indian to Bali vacation and you will find that it will be the perfect holiday experience.

  • Indian Visa: When to Choose What?

Indian Visa: When to Choose What?

If you are planning a tour to India for the very first time, you must be excited for sure. You would probably be wondering about all the things you have heard of about India and whether they are true or not. You must be all caught up in booking the tickets, packing bags, short listing destinations etc. But before you reach all the exciting and fascinating part, here’s a question for you. Have you applied for your Indian e visa? If not, then you must do so now, so that all your dreams come true on your visit to India.

Although the process of making an Indian e visa online is a walk in the park, you need to know some things before you proceed with applying for your visa online. The most important thing is the purpose of your visit. The authorities give you options as you fill the visa form online where you specifically need to mention your purpose of visiting India. Thus, before choosing an option, you must be double-sure since choosing a wrong one might ruin your trip. Given below is a list of different visas that you can choose according to your objective of going to India:

    1. Tourist Visa: These visas are for the people who solely visit India with the purpose of recreation/sightseeing or attending a short-yoga program.
    2. Entry (X) Visa: An X-visa is available to only selective people. These people may be a person of Indian origin or their spouse and children. The spouse and dependent children of a person coming to India on any other long-term visa, such as an Employment visa or Business visa and the visitors who are going to join specified ashrams or spiritual communities, such as Auroville, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Missions of Charities in Kolkata, or certain Buddhist monasteries can also apply for the X-visa.
    3. Employment Visa: The employment visa is for those foreigners who work for an India-registered organization (Previously, these foreigners also applied for an X Visa).
    4. Intern (I) Visa: As the name suggests, this visa is for the foreigners who visit India for an internship. Its validity is either one year or same as the validity of the internship.
    5. Business Visa: People who want to explore business opportunities and conduct business in India can opt for a Business Visa. It is different than employment visa as the applicant will not be earning through an Indian Organization.
    6. Student Visa: This visa is for those people who want to pursue a long-term education in one of the officially recognized educational institutes of India.
    7. Conference Visa: Delegates who have to attend an Indian government organization’s conference must apply for Conference Visa. Remember that you must apply for the business visa in case you are attending a conference with a private organization.
    8. Journalist Visa: Professional journalists or photographers need to apply for the journalist visa when they wish to visit India.
    9. Film (F) Visa: If you are visiting India to make a commercial film or TV show in India, you should apply for the Film visa. Such visa carries validity up to one year.
    10. Research Visa: just like a journalist visa, these visas are quite difficult to get approved. Research visas are for professors and scholars who intend to come to India for research work. Research visas take around three months for approval.
    11. Medical Visa: Patients seeking long-term treatment in India at recognized and specialized hospitals should apply for a medical visa.
    12. Transit Visa: Transit Visa is simply for people who do not wish to stay in India for more than 72 hours as they have an onward journey to some other country.

Thus, with so many options available, you must choose the option which suits your objectives so that you can have a smooth experience of visiting India.
