I don’t know about you, but whenever there’s a birthday on the horizon, or when Christmas is just around the corner, I start to panic slightly. I’ve never been the best at gift buying, but over the years as various friends have reached milestones in their lives, I’ve picked up a few ideas that have really been cherished by my friends and family.

It might seem difficult to think outside of the box and try to be unique or creative, but really, all you need to do is think about the person you’re buying for. Today’s article contains just a few of my favourite gifts so far – I hope they help give you some inspiration!

  1. Signed pictures

This is such a lovely thought and will always go down a storm with anyone you’re buying for. Do they have a favourite celebrity crush they always talk about? Do they have a favourite author? How amazing would it feel when you see the excitement on their face, when they open your gift to find a photograph of their favourite actor that’s been signed by them and even addressed directly to them?

Or how about instead you find a copy of their favourite book that’s been signed by the author? It’s not hard to do; a quick google search will give you the contact details for fan mail (although you might want to do this in advance to allow for it being sent back), and look out on shops like eBay for signed books if you can’t attend a signing yourself. This is something they will treasure for the rest of their lives, and is definitely worth the effort.

  1. Charm bracelets

I absolutely love charm bracelets, and they can create a real emotional connection with a person when given as a gift. You can take time to choose one that suits their style, but then choose the charms that go with their personality or give them a message about your friendship. For example, when you look at ChloBo’s boho jewellery collection, it has a really unique but elegant look, and you mix and match the charms, metals and gem stones that will suit their nature.

Why not give the gift of an Aventurine bracelet from their Luna Soul collection? With the hamsa hand attached, it will protect them, bring them happiness, luck, health, and good fortune, but the stone itself is also a calming stone that brings universal love. Anything that tends to be personalized shows you have put thought into their gift. For example, Necklace for Her with Name could surely be a symbol of your relationship!

  1. Life experiences

This may sound like a strange idea, but is there something that your friend has always wanted to do but has never got around to or had the money for? Why not give them the gift of an experience!

From driving a super car around a race track, or learning how to fly a helicopter, to treating them to a relaxing spa day, they’ll create memories that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. What could be a better gift than that?
